About the event
The Chosen is a ground-breaking historical episodic drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, envisaged through the eyes of those who knew him.
This was originally an American TV series; we will now be bringing it to Christ Church in Long Hanborough for you to watch. The screenings will be on Thursday evenings and the sessions will run from 7.00pm until 9.00 pm. The first showing will be on 12 February. We will serve refreshments.
Our Rector, Revd Dr Steve Stewart, says, “The Chosen is an exciting presentation of the life and ministry of Jesus. The grasp of the ancient world in which Jesus lived is superbly researched and presented. As a type of commentary on the Gospels, I would recommend this very highly indeed – both to Christians and non-Christians alike”.
